From Fossil fuel to Solar Power!

Avolution and The Oil Museum of Canada explore “Green” power sources to tell the tale of oil discovery.

The Oil Museum’s Driving Tour was created to tell the tale of the discovery of oil in Oil Springs 150 years ago. The driving tour is a portion of an extensive museum and interpretative center dedicated to Canada’s “Worlds firsts” in oil exploration.

Avolution installed 9 Digital playback devices spread amongst the historic oilfields powered exclusively by solar panels.

The 9 stops on the tour are configured in a circular route that starts and ends at the Museum. At each stop you can use your car stereo to listen to “Slick” the colorful storyteller describing the local history. Go out and explore our regions living oil history! Its great ride. Hybrids preferred!
